An Athletics Program for Scholars & Leaders
At Taipei American School, the goal of our athletics program is to develop future leaders by cultivating an environment that promotes education, healthy competition, and personal growth.
Our dedicated coaches and staff guide students in honing their skills, embracing teamwork, finding their inner leader, and exemplifying sportsmanship both on and off the field.

The Athletics department supports the overall mission and standards of Taipei American School by providing equitable opportunities for student-athletes to participate in quality international athletic competition while placing an intrinsic value on integrity, ethical conduct, academic excellence, athletic achievement and competitive spirit.
Our Philosophy
The fundamental principle for competitive athletics at TAS is serving the education of the student. There is a commitment to supporting the TAS mission while cultivating and nurturing an environment of excellence, leadership, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship. We will be competitive and we want to win, but we will do it the right way, and through our partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance, we will help our student-athletes become "Better Athletes, Better People."
Athletics by the Numbers
SY22-23 was a historic year for TAS Athletics. All 22 of our IASAS teams received a medal in their competitions, bringing home 11 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals. This is a major milestone in TAS Athletics history and has set a new bar of excellence for our future Tiger athletes. Learn more about our Athletics program by the numbers below.
