Upper School student, Jack B. (‘21), was recently named as one of the top 300 Scholars by the Regeneron Science Talent Search.  This is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. Jack earned prize money for both himself and for our school.

Upper School student Spencer C. ('21) was recently selected as a winner of a YoungArts Award for his poetry. The National YoungArts Foundation identifies the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts and provides them with creative and professional development opportunities throughout their careers. Just 659 students across the United States (and at American schools abroad like ours) received awards that recognize promise in the literary, visual, and performing arts and provide them opportunities for financial, creative, and professional development support throughout their entire careers.  Past winners have included luminaries such as Viola Davis and Josh Groban.

Taipei American School welcomed Dr. Scott Poland, Professor of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, into our community - albeit digitally - this week for a 3-day digital residency to work with parents, students, faculty, staff, counselors, nurses, and administrators in the area of school safety.
