IT Network Service Specialist
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting and supporting the Network Engineer in the management, maintenance, and implementation of IT infrastructure and network projects to meet the school's organizational goals. This role involves participating in the planning, integration, installation, documentation, and configuration of IT Infrastructure and networking under the guidance of the Network Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Management
Support the Network Engineer in planning, integrating, implementing, documenting, troubleshooting, and configuring the network infrastructure. Work alongside vendors to ensure network availability and service for the organization. This includes assisting with switches, wireless/cloud controllers, access points, network cabling, backbone upgrades, wireless environment management, edge switches, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, etc. - Server Infrastructure Management
Assist in projects related to the implementation, maintenance, patching, troubleshooting, and hardware/software upgrades of core on-premises infrastructure hardware and virtual infrastructure. Work proactively and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Project and Vendor Management
Provide support to the IT Department in projects related to network and server infrastructure and resources. Assist in planning, reviewing, coordinating, and executing projects in line with agreed timelines. Help communicate potential impacts and downtime to minimize user disruption. - Technical Resource and Support
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network and system outages and monitor network traffic and service status. Escalate issues to vendors when necessary. Support in tasks related to content filtering, domain name service, active directory management, firewall configuration, as well as performance and security of all network components. Stay updated on the latest technology, trends, and developments in network systems as they relate to the school system.
- Take responsibility for own workload and keep others informed, highlighting potential problems and suggesting solutions to ensure continuity of service delivery.
- Such other duties as may be required from time to time.
Selection criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field (science)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, project management, and technical troubleshooting, preferably in a school environment
- Native fluency in English and mandarin preferred. English and Mandarin fluency at an advanced level required
- At least one previous (expired) or currently valid technical certification required
- Ability to Work Collaboratively: The specialist should be able to work as part of a team and alongside the Network Engineer to achieve the organization's goals.
- Self-motivated professional with prioritizing skill: Work and manage multiple projects independently, orderly, and precisely or as part of a team.
- Judgment and Decision-Making: The ability to use good judgment under supervision and make decisions when required.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure and Networking Services: Some experience in planning, integrating, installing, documenting, and configuring IT infrastructure (Windows and Linux) and networking services will be beneficial.
- Professional Handling of Confidential Information: The ability to handle sensitive files and information in a professional and ethical manner.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to self-educate and learn from the Network Engineer and other team members when formal instruction is not available.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work additional hours if necessary and adapt to changing circumstances or requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server Environments: Familiarity with server 2016 and newer, as well as Azure, would be beneficial.
- Technical Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Vendor Management Skills: The capacity to collaborate with vendors effectively under the guidance of the Network Engineer.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, in both oral and written communications.
Working Hours: 07:30AM to 16:30PM

Athletic Facilities Assistant
Job Summary:
Manage, oversee and set up equipment and facility to make sure all events and parent’s bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check facilities (including but not limited to gyms, fields and tennis courts before the PE classes start, make marking lines on turf and upper field, inventory check, etc) to ensure the facility is set up and restored according to instructional and extra-curricular needs.
- Manage, oversee, set up equipment and facilities, and stand by during the event to ensure facility and equipment needs are met.
- Check for need for maintenance to ensure the equipment and facility are in good condition.
- Follow the parent and faculty rental management requirement, perform each task as stated in the facilities department SOPs and ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner to the supervisors for resolution and follow up.
- Follow the instructions of each service order, complete the tasks per the assigned timeline and agreed requirement, and ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner to the supervisors for resolution and follow up.
- Follow the facilities department SOPs and agreed operational standards to ensure all events and parent’s bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
- Serves on the search team during school declared emergencies, e.g. fire drill, to ensure safety of all in school.
- Work with PE and Athletics teams to provide timely support to meet athletic events requirements and PE schedules.
- Other duties assigned by the supervisors.
Selection criteria:
- College diploma, major in physical education related preferred; experience in sports or fitness related field
- Basic English. Mandarin fluency
- Knowledge of sports rules and regulations, sports/activities need in terms of facility and equipment
- Knowledge of dimensions & inventory check
- Effective time management, communication and organizing skills
- Computer skill in MS Office
- Able to lift and carry 25kg
- Must be willing to work flexible hours on weekdays and weekends in order to meet TAS athletic events and PE schedule
10-month position every school year
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
13:00PM to 22:00PM

Job Summary:
Assist with serving line meal prep work and prepare certain snack bar items.
