ITAV Technician
Job Summary:
The primary role of the IT/AV Technician is to oversee uniformity of service delivery in the day to day operations that facilitate the use of equipment to enhance instruction and student learning, presentations and events. The position is tasked to supervise/conduct the repair, maintenance, testing and management of all AV related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises the IT/AV assistants to ensure that daily support is prioritized and that they have clear and consistent information to complete tasks/projects assigned.
- Leads the issuing of all AV equipment and maintains the asset database documenting loans, technical tasks, and repairs.
- In collaboration with the IT team provides schoolwide classroom support of all AV resources. Documents procedures and independently develops instructional materials.
- Supervises and manages the consumable resources for all school wide AV systems and stakeholders to ensure that daily operation needs can be met.
- Provides budget data and analysis of consumable utilization. Acts as Office Manager for all AV operational items.
- Serves as the primary anchor and liaison for project planning and communication — school wide. Responsibilities include booking external resources, budget awareness, and communication with the IT operational team. Makes recommendations to streamline workflow, setup, and equipment utilization.
- Supervises, documents, and manages the preventative maintenance program of all AV resources to ensure system integrity and performance optimization (batteries, signage, replacement parts, etc.)
- Collaborates with the Theater Office and Video Production Specialist to plan and set up the IT/AV system for school physical and virtual events. Utilizes judgment to ensure that schoolwide events utilizing AV resources are successful.
- Collaborates with the IT office manager and works with local vendors to ensure repair and maintenance of all AV resources. Maintains budget overview of repairs, warranties, and maintenance coverage contracts.
- Trains students/faculty/staff on the care and use of AV equipment.
Selection criteria:
- Five years’ experience of customer-service experience required, experience in media-related equipment/systems and supervisory preferred
- College degree (media production preferred)
- Communicate effectively in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English
- Have knowledge of various AV systems/devices including digital still cameras/digital video cameras/web cameras with accessories, audio recorders, projectors with management system, document cameras, interactive displays, sound systems (analog/digital mixers/amplifiers/microphones/PA) video/audio matrix, playback devices (DVD/Blue-ray/Apple TV,) digital signage system, Jamf Pro
- Be an analytical thinker with the ability to make sound judgments independently
- Have effective planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Be able to prioritize tasks when dealing with multiple, unexpected, and ad hoc demands
- Be able to lead the AV team in providing friendly, reliable, timely, and quality service

Upper School Art Assistant
Job Summary:
The US Art Assistant is responsible for providing assistance where needed in and around the art studios/classes to support instruction and student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing instructional support, supervision and hands-on assistance to students in the studios, outdoor workspace, or around campus when needed.
- Assisting in prepping classes and the Ceramics studio, including but not limited to preparing material, mixing glazes, reclaiming clay, loading and unloading kilns to meet the curriculum and daily teaching needs of the art department.
- Assisting in organizing, coordinating, and implementing all school exhibitions of student art works to ensure that displays as well as the art department present their best.
- Assisting in maintaining classes, studios and storage rooms to ensure arts facilities maintenance and tidiness.
- Designing promotional materials, such as posters, banners and signage for exhibition and art department events. Supporting the related work of the art department as requested.
Selection criteria:
- Background in visual arts related field, experience in installing exhibitions and working in ceramics preferred
- Advanced English competency required and advanced Mandarin skills
- College graduated in arts related field preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of art materials and terminology
- Familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator and willingness to learn new equipment and programs (such as 3D printer, laser cutter, etc.)
- Able to lift heavy objects/materials (must be able to lift 20kgs)
- Effective planning, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills
- A team player that demonstrates dynamic team working, initiative and a willingness to learn
- Demonstrates flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude and acts as a role model to students

Athletic Facilities Assistant II
Job Summary:
Manage, distribute, oversee and set up equipment and sports facilities to make sure all events and parent’s bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and inspect athletic facilities. Manage, oversee, and distribute athletic equipment to ensure the facility is safely set up and prepared according to instructional and extra-curricular needs. Stand by during events to ensure facility and equipment needs are met.
- Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and in good condition. Report and/or repair deficiencies.
- Distribute sports equipment to PE and Athletics as necessary, create and maintain an up-to-date inventory system for all equipment and uniforms, ensure accurate record keeping and sufficient equipment and uniform inventory.
- Follow the instructions of each service order, complete the required tasks per the assigned timeline, and ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner for resolution and follow up.
- Follow the Facilities department SOPs and agreed operational standards to ensure all events and parent bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
- Work with PE and Athletics teams to provide timely support to meet athletic events requirements and PE schedules.
- Train Facilities Assistants and substitutes as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Selection criteria:
- College diploma, major in physical education related preferred
- Intermediate level of English. Mandarin fluency
- Experience in sports or fitness related field & knowledge of sports rules and regulations
- Knowledge of sports'/activities' needs in terms of facilities and equipment
- Knowledge of dimensions & inventory check
- Effective time management, communication and organizing skills
- Computer skill in MS Office
- Must be willing to work flexible hours on weekdays and weekends in order to meet TAS athletic events and PE schedule
12-month position
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
11:00 to 20:00 inclusive 1 hour lunch break
Work schedule is subject to change with advanced notice and schedule flexibility is expected per the facilities service requirements while school in session and or in June & July.

Athletic Facilities Assistant
Job Summary:
Manage, oversee and set up equipment and facility to make sure all events and parent’s bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check facilities (including but not limited to gyms, fields and tennis courts before the PE classes start, make marking lines on turf and upper field, inventory check, etc) to ensure the facility is set up and restored according to instructional and extra-curricular needs.
- Manage, oversee, set up equipment and facilities, and stand by during the event to ensure facility and equipment needs are met.
- Check for need for maintenance to ensure the equipment and facility are in good condition.
- Follow the parent and faculty rental management requirement, perform each task as stated in the facilities department SOPs and ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner to the supervisors for resolution and follow up.
- Follow the instructions of each service order, complete the tasks per the assigned timeline and agreed requirement, and ensure issues and problems are addressed in a timely manner to the supervisors for resolution and follow up.
- Follow the facilities department SOPs and agreed operational standards to ensure all events and parent’s bookings can start on time and run smoothly.
- Serves on the search team during school declared emergencies, e.g. fire drill, to ensure safety of all in school.
- Work with PE and Athletics teams to provide timely support to meet athletic events requirements and PE schedules.
- Other duties assigned by the supervisors.
Selection criteria:
- College diploma, major in physical education related preferred; experience in sports or fitness related field
- Basic English. Mandarin fluency
- Knowledge of sports rules and regulations, sports/activities need in terms of facility and equipment
- Knowledge of dimensions & inventory check
- Effective time management, communication and organizing skills
- Computer skill in MS Office
- Able to lift and carry 25kg
- Must be willing to work flexible hours on weekdays and weekends in order to meet TAS athletic events and PE schedule
