Ties that Bind


TAS commissioned Dr. Richard R. Vuylsteke to help document its rich history in a book entitled "Ties that Bind: Taipei American School 1949-1999, an Oral History."


Dr. Richard R. Vuylsteke is the current President of The East-West Center, a nonprofit organization management firm located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Prior to this, he served as the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and was the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei. During his time in Taipei, Richard also served on the Board of Directors of Taipei American School.
