Bio: Mr. Tim Morton
Tim grew up in California attending public schools in the Santa Barbara area. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Operations from San Jose State University.
Tim started flying at the age of fourteen and has been working professionally as a pilot since 1984. His passion for aviation has led to increasingly prominent positions at airlines and aircraft manufacturers worldwide. He has lived and worked in seven states and four countries, first coming to Taiwan in 1995. Tim currently manages and operates a corporate jet for Taiwan’s largest aircraft management company.
Tim has been a volunteer member of the Civil Air Patrol since 1979 focusing on the cadet program, aerospace education, and search and rescue operations. More recently, he has been active in Taipei Troop 91 of the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master and Merit Badge Counselor.
Tim’s son Christopher has been attending TAS since kindergarten and will be entering the 9th grade this year.
As an American expatriate for close to 25 years, Tim understands the vital role that American and international schools play in the communities that they serve. He is proud to join the TAS Board of Directors and will help to maintain the focus on strategic issues of importance to the TAS parent, teacher, and student communities.
