Grade Level Overview

This program allows children to learn and develop knowledge and confidence in a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

The Kindergarten program emphasizes the development of literacy skills, number concepts, scientific exploration, and inter-personal skills.

The Grade 1 program enables students to further develop skills and concepts at their own pace within units where students explore literacy, numeracy. and the sciences.

In Grade 2, students continue to build their skills, knowledge and understanding through integrated units that include writing, reading, word study, spelling, social studies, math and science.

In Grade 3, students transition to greater independence through a range of experiences. Students continue to grow as confident and independent learners and develop their individual strengths.

Students in Grade 4 continue to grow in their independence as they begin to study topics in more depth while continuing to build their skills, knowledge and understanding in language arts, math, science and social studies.

Grade 5 students strengthen their skills, knowledge and understanding in language arts, math, science and social studies with technology integrated throughout the curriculum.
