Middle School Curriculum Posts

At some point in their life, no matter their occupation, students will be asked to deliver a presentation. Students are encouraged to take Public Speaking: Finding Your Voice to master skills that will increase their effectiveness in public speaking. An effective presentation includes strong content, organization, delivery, audience engagement, and analysis. Throughout the semester students will explore facets of their identity and culture to present a variety of speeches gaining an in-depth understanding of informative and persuasive speech structures.  In addition, the information students learn will assist them in becoming more critical consumers of information.
