See an overview of our Middle School science curriculum

The foundation of the Middle School science program is a strong, academic curriculum that allows our students to reach their full potential as curious, contentious young scientists during the middle years. Our goals are to provide our students with a rich science experience encompassing both conceptual understanding and independent exploration.

Our science curriculum provides an integrated approach to different subject areas, introducing students to life, physical, and earth science throughout Grade 6, 7, and 8. Students have numerous hands-on learning experiences grounded in foundational science concepts, designed for students to deeply understand these core ideas.

Once students have built strong background knowledge, they get to ask deeper questions in whichever area that interests them and create projects that answer these questions. Students work collaboratively to engineer prototypes, models, apparatuses, and run experiments to seek out the answers and to deeply understand the process of scientific discovery. Guided by our science educators, they forge their own path through the scientific method.
