See an overview of our Middle School STEAM program

Our middle school STEAM electives provide students with hands-on opportunities to design, build, and think creatively through project-based learning. Across courses such as electronics and LED design, simple machines, toy and game design, and community-focused engineering, students engage in the engineering design process to turn ideas into functional solutions. They work with a range of tools, materials, and technologies while developing an understanding of how systems, structures, and code interact.
Throughout these courses, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by testing and refining their ideas. Collaboration and communication are embedded in the process, as students share ideas and improve outcomes together. Creativity remains central, as students generate original solutions and bring their ideas to life in meaningful ways.
