See an overview of our Middle School Social Sciences program

Social sciences provide essential tools for understanding people, societies, and the forces that shape our world. We teach social sciences at TAS to empower students to think critically, analyze issues from multiple perspectives, and make meaning of complex social, economic, and political systems. Through research, discussion, and evidence-based reasoning, students develop original ideas, practice self-advocacy, and evaluate the impact of individual and collective actions. This approach equips students with transferable skills that prepare them to engage thoughtfully with real-world issues and contribute responsibly and meaningfully to society. Courses in Social Science may include Debate, Global Politics, Communicating in the Modern World, and Personal Finance.
