PE & Health

The TAS PE program focuses on students’ physical, mental, social and emotional development. It encompasses a wide range of movement and health-based learning experiences aimed at providing students with the knowledge and skills to lead healthy and active lives. This co-educational PE program provides each student the opportunity to participate in a variety of individual and team sports. The program emphasizes fitness as well as developing and improving fundamental motor skills.

Grades 6-8:

Each class comprises fitness training in order to improve fitness levels while fostering and developing resilience, perseverance, and determination. The fitness component is then followed by technique and skill development. Students learn concepts and strategies and apply these skills through game situations. Students develop social and personal responsibilities associated with participation in sports. All students are required to wear the Taipei American School PE uniform and to bring a personal water bottle to every session.
