Discover the TAS Early Childhood Experience

A typical day includes a balance of structured learning, creative exploration, specialist classes, and outdoor play. Students begin with a morning meeting that builds community and belonging before moving into literacy, math, inquiry, and hands-on learning experiences. 

Throughout the week, children participate in music, physical education, STEAM, art, and Mandarin (Kindergarten). The schedule is intentionally designed to balance routine, independence, creativity, collaboration, and active play. 

Beginning in Pre-Kindergarten allows children to build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging from the very start of their educational journey. Students become familiar with the routines, relationships, and learning experiences that define the TAS community while developing foundational academic and social-emotional skills. 

Families also benefit from a seamless PreK–12 pathway that supports children as they grow through each stage of learning. 

No. Students enrolled in TAS Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten continue into Grade 1 without reapplying. 

Because there are typically more available spaces in Early Childhood than in Grades 1–5, many families choose to begin their TAS journey earlier, maximizing their opportunity to join the community.
