Application Priority
Committed to learning, personal well-being and service.
Based on the School's mission and Board policy, qualified students are considered for admission to TAS according to the priority system outlined below.
CATEGORY 1
At least one parent is employed by the American Institute in Taiwan.
CATEGORY 2
At least one parent holds a United States of America (USA) passport.
CATEGORY 3
At least one parent holds a passport not from the USA, Republic of China (ROC), or People’s Republic of China (PRC). A second parent may hold any non-USA passport, including ROC or PRC passports.
CATEGORY 4
Both parents hold ROC passports or one parent holds an ROC passport and one parent holds a PRC passport.
CATEGORY 5
Both parents hold PRC passports. Children holding PRC passports may apply if ROC Ministry of Education criteria are met.
Priority status will be given to applicants who have:
- Sibling(s) currently enrolled or accepted to TAS;
- A parent or sibling who is a TAS alumni.
