FAQ

FAQ

Q: Where can I see everything that is offered each season? What are the options for my student to play sports?

A: This information is available in the Sports Program Offerings Matrix, viewable on the Programs page as well as in the Student-Athlete/Parent Handbook.

Q: Where can I find a listing of practice and game times?

A: This information is available on the Schedule page.

Q: My student tried out for a competitive team and did not make it on the team or the prep team. What can my student do now to stay active?

A: US students are permitted to try out for another team if cut. The student should communicate with both coaches to arrange a new tryout. Student-athletes who are cut are also welcome to join an SST offering. Starting in the 2017-2018 school year there are no cuts in the MS program.

Q: Does my MS student have to try out for a particular team or skill level?

A: No. Upon the conclusion of tryouts the MS coaches will determine which students are placed on each team.

Q: Will tryouts for competitive teams be finished and results known before it's time to sign up for that season's SST offerings?

A: Yes. Student-athletes who do not end up on a competitive team will have the opportunity to join SST sessions, space permitting.

Q: Where are the start and end dates for each season’s program published? (e.g. What date does MS baseball start and end?)

A: This information is available in the Sports Program Offerings Matrix, viewable on the Programs page as well as in the Student-Athlete/Parent Handbook.

Q: How soon after tryouts can students expect to hear if they made the Competitive team or the Competitive Prep team?

A: MS tryouts take place in the first three scheduled practice sessions of the season. A student will find out during one of those three tryout days. US students have five practice sessions for tryouts and will find out during one of those five sessions.
