Dear TAS Parents and Community Members,
Given that the government has updated their recommendations for self-monitoring and quarantine, I am now asking that those procedures be followed by any person who has traveled to, who has a household member who has traveled to, or who has been visited by anyone from, mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau. If this applies to you or anyone in your home, we ask that you please stay at home and self-monitor for two full weeks.
To be clear, this adds two requests to our original recommendation:
As a reminder, government officials have consistently recommended that individuals follow the same set of preventative measures since news of this virus first broke: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/prevention-treatment.html.
Perhaps the most important of those recommendations is to "wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available." We very much appreciate your ongoing efforts to review the importance of frequently washing your hands with soap and water with your children, thereby reinforcing our efforts to help them develop this important habit.
Many thanks again for your patience and support with these important steps we must all take to help keep everyone safe and healthy.
