Dear Parents,
Following recent guidance from the local authorities and in line with our determination to do all we can to protect the health and safety of all community members, any student who traveled to, or whose family traveled to, or who was visited by people from Level 1 and Level 2 countries designated as THAILAND, SINGAPORE, JAPAN, IRAN OR ITALY within the past fourteen days MAY RETURN to school tomorrow but MUST wear masks and follow guidelines for self-monitoring. This is a change based on updated information from governmental and health authorities who, like us, are doing our best to keep all community members safe and healthy. China, Hong Kong, and Macau remain on Level 3 notice with travel to and from these areas requiring self quarantine. This now includes SOUTH KOREA as well.
In addition, in response to local authorities' directions we will not open our swimming pool for student, faculty, or any use until May.
SOUTH KOREA HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE LEVEL 3 mandates. Anyone who has traveled to South Korea, or who has family who has, or has been visited by someone from South Korea MUST enter a full quarantine program the same as if they visited or were visited by someone from Mainland, Hong Kong or Macau. We expect that, using the travel surveys everyone kindly responded to, anyone who has been in South Korea, or been visited by , or has a family member who traveled to South Korea will enter the full quarantine of 14 days program. That means you may not come to school at all if any of these conditions- visited, a family member visited, or you were visited by someone from South Korea, there must be a 14 day full quarantine program, and you may not return to school.
Parents and Helpers: As a reminder, when coming to campus, please bring your ID. Entry to the school during school hours, 7:00 AM to 3:45PM, will be temporarily restricted, except for those parents who have an appointment or those parents or helpers who are supporting the KA students with drop-off and pick-up. When picking up after school, please do not arrive on campus early. Parents and helpers must leave campus immediately after their meeting and/or completing the drop-off and pick-up procedure. The cafeteria and the public areas are not available as we want to limit contact and the possible spread of disease. Sharon D. Hennessy, Ed. D.
