Announcing the Largest Single Gift in the History of Taipei American School
On September 26, 1949, Taipei American School was founded with just eight students. From our humble beginnings to the vibrant community we are today, we mark this historic milestone with momentous news.
Taipei American School is honored to announce the largest individual donation ever made to Taipei American School. An anonymous donor has generously gifted $40,400,000 NTD (~$1.25 million USD) to our School, dedicated exclusively to enhancing the well-being of our students and employees.
This remarkable donation serves as a profound endorsement of Taipei American School’s mission, of which well-being is a fundamental pillar. It embodies our unwavering belief that a nurturing and supportive environment is vital to the success of both our students and employees. Wellness is a core component of our strategic plan, and this gift will dramatically enhance our resources and our ability to collectively bring this area of strategic focus to life.
As we celebrate the impact that this contribution will have, we also celebrate that this gift comes just one year after the reinstatement of fundraising efforts at TAS. This is a clear affirmation of the strong support within our community for our vision, and the role that well-being plays in the success of our School.
We are profoundly grateful to this donor for their extraordinary generosity and belief in our mission. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all our donors whose continuous support has shaped our School’s journey over the last 75 years.
We look forward to the incredible progress in our community’s well-being that this gift will support over the coming years.
