Celebrating the Year of the Horse with the TAS Annual Support Staff Luncheon

Celebrating the Year of the Horse with the TAS Annual Support Staff Luncheon

On February 10, 2026, the Taipei American School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) hosted its annual Support Staff Luncheon, bringing together members of the community to celebrate the Lunar New Year and recognize the many individuals whose work quietly supports and sustains daily life on campus. Held just before the holiday break, the luncheon offered a joyful moment to pause, reflect, and express appreciation.

In the Chinese zodiac, the Horse symbolizes energy, strength, and forward momentum. The celebration reflected these qualities, honoring the dedication and spirit of TAS support staff, whose commitment helps create a welcoming, safe, and thriving environment for students and colleagues alike.

The event featured thoughtfully prepared lunchboxes, tea, and desserts, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Longstanding traditions brought everyone together through games and activities, encouraging laughter and connection across departments. A lively karaoke session added to the celebration, as members of the school’s leadership stepped onto the stage to share songs and moments of fun with the audience, filling the room with applause and smiles!

More than a celebration, the luncheon served as a meaningful reminder of the collective care and teamwork that define the TAS community. Each day, support staff contribute in countless ways, ensuring that classrooms are ready, facilities are maintained, and students and educators can focus on learning and growth.

Thank you to the PTA hospitality team, the entire PTA, and the school’s administrative team for helping create a meaningful celebration that made our support staff feel valued and appreciated during this special time of year. As we welcome the Year of the Horse, we celebrate not only the new year but also the teamwork and mutual respect that unite our school community!
