Launching the 2024-25 School Year at TAS
After a restful summer, our Tiger employees are back on campus and buzzing with energy as we prepare to start the 2024-25 school year. During this week of Launch Days, faculty and staff are working to set the stage for a fantastic year of teaching and learning at every level.
This includes deep work on our mission and strategic plan, supercharged by our WASC re-accreditation report received in Spring of 2024, and focused training on the most up-to-date child safeguarding practices, data-driven strategies for teaching multilingual learners, and much, much more.
This year, we are delighted to welcome 30 new members of faculty, 17 staff members, two administrators, and of course, our 17th Head of School, Mr. David Frankenberg, to the TAS family. On top of preparing their classrooms and the various professional development workshops held during this week, our new employees are getting to know our campus and forming new relationships with their fellow employees. If you see a new face on campus this fall, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself!
Mr. David Frankenberg kicked off this week of preparation with a welcome speech for the employee community. As we enter this school year, equipped with a fantastic WASC report in the spring and bolstered by the joy of a 75th anniversary milestone year, we are focused on living our mission, and embracing our enduring commitment to learning, personal wellbeing, and service in every aspect of school life. By modeling lifelong learning as adults, our employees are better able to support, challenge, and encourage our students in their own daily learning journeys.
While our Launch Days continue, we look forward to welcoming nearly 370 new families and their students tomorrow for our New Family Orientation. Joining a new school community is a big change, and we can’t wait to help our newest Tigers feel right at home.
Enjoy the last days of summer, Tigers, and get ready for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 14!
