TAS Tigers Close IASAS Season 3 with Strong Performances Across the Region

Taipei American School athletes wrapped up IASAS Season 3 with three days of focused competition, steady growth, and memorable finishes across the region. Competing in Singapore, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta, Upper School teams represented TAS with consistency and composure from the opening events through Championship Saturday.

The season concluded with three gold medals, one silver, and two bronzes. The Boys Track and Field team secured gold with a commanding performance, while Baseball delivered a historic breakthrough – claiming its first-ever IASAS championship after years of near finishes. On the badminton courts, the Girls team continued a remarkable legacy, earning gold and extending their championship streak to 23 consecutive years.

Softball battled through a competitive field to earn silver, finishing just short in a close championship game. The Girls Track and Field team added to the medal count with a bronze, and Boys Badminton secured bronze after a strong showing in the final rounds. Both Golf teams competed with determination throughout the tournament and finished fourth, narrowly missing the podium.

Across all sports, the week reflected the preparation and resilience of TAS athletes. Early rounds set the tone, with several teams entering the final day in strong positions. Baseball and Softball advanced to their respective championship games after consistent play in pool rounds. Track and Field teams built momentum across events, while Badminton maintained an undefeated run deep into the tournament.

Beyond the results, the season highlighted the collective effort behind each team. Athletes adapted to different environments, supported one another through tight matches, and stayed focused across multiple days of competition. Coaches guided their teams with care and intention, helping students navigate both the highs and challenges of tournament play.

As the final IASAS season of the year comes to a close, these performances reflect more than podium finishes. They speak to the discipline, teamwork, and pride that define TAS athletics.
