The Dazzling Miss Dimple: PTA-Sponsored Artist Inspires Middle School Dancers

The Dazzling Miss Dimple: PTA-Sponsored Artist Inspires Middle School Dancers

When Dimple Xie—now famously known as Miss Dimple—was a Middle School student, she witnessed an electrifying performance by The Best Crew (TBC) Dance Company. Inspired by their dynamic moves, she signed up for dance lessons the very next day, quickly rising to become an instructor herself. Having spent nearly two decades with TBC Dance Center, Miss Dimple has traveled the world, winning competitions, performing both in Taiwan and internationally, and sharing the stage with global touring acts.

Miss Dimple views hip-hop dance as more than just an art form—she sees it as a means of self-expression and storytelling. “Dancing is like telling a story about yourself,” she shared in a past interview. As a choreographer and professional instructor, she has a remarkable ability to inspire dancers of all ages—from young toddlers to adults—to channel their personal stories into their movements.

Through the generosity of TAS PTA, Miss Dimple has returned to TAS Middle School dance classes on several occasions as a guest artist. Her prominence in the Taipei hip-hop community and her dedication to inspiring young dancers make her an invaluable resource for our students.

In October, Miss Dimple returned once again to energize our Middle School dancers. While her classes are challenging, students are highly engaged, and the dance studios radiate positive energy. According to Middle School Dance Teacher Diane Prophet, Miss Dimple’s classes are always transformative. “Miss Dimple is so energetic, from her moves to her style and her smile.” said Prophet. “With her bright colors, exaggerated movements and positive vibe, dancers can’t help but expand their movements to fill the space.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the TAS PTA for making this opportunity possible. Learning from an inspiring local talent like Miss Dimple not only enhances students’ dance skills but also enriches their creative expression.
