The Middle School Musical “Frozen Jr.” Wows Audiences at TAS!
By Brooke Burns, Assistant Director of Communications
This past weekend, the Guy Lott Jr. Auditorium was transformed into the enchanting world of Arendelle! Our Middle School performers captivated audiences with their tremendous production of Frozen JR., from Friday, May 17, to Sunday, May 19. Our students put on a performance that was nothing short of magical, taking attendees on a heartwarming journey filled with love, adventure, and unforgettable music.
This year's production was particularly special as TAS is the first school outside the Americas to receive licensing rights to perform Frozen JR.
Over 100 students poured their hearts into every aspect of the show. The on-stage cast and the off-stage crews demonstrated extraordinary teamwork and passion. Performing to three, sold-out audiences, the excitement in the auditorium was palpable. On Sunday, the show was extra special, when the audience were invited to arrive dressed as their favorite characters from the beloved Disney film, including Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and other friends from the frosty kingdom of Arendelle. The joy in the auditorium was palpable!
As the lights dimmed and the familiar tunes of Frozen filled the theater, the cast brought the characters and the story to life. The tale of sisterhood, bravery, and acceptance unfolded beautifully, giving attendees a moment to reflect on and empathize with the characters.
Thank you to the Middle School musical production team, Directed and led by Ms. Christou and an exceptional group of educators which includes Ms. Chang, Mrs. Prophet, Dr. Held, Dr. Sheu, Ms. Chou, and Ms. Ho, for their guidance and support of our students. Their efforts ensured that the production not only met but exceeded expectations, leaving audiences with hearts warmed and faces smiling long after the final curtain fell.
Congratulations to our student performers for a wonderful weekend of shows, and for this joyful culmination of a semester of hard work!
