Tigers Send Their Best: Alumni Tigergram Project Spreads TAS Spirit

Tigers Send Their Best: Alumni Tigergram Project Spreads TAS Spirit

The start of university life can be exciting, challenging, and everything in between. That’s where a little Tiger spirit goes a long way.

Each fall, the Alumni Tigergram Project transforms the Upper School Commons into a scene of creativity and connection. Students gather around tables filled with postcards, markers, and stickers, taking a few moments out of their day to write words of encouragement for the Class of 2025, the newest members of the TAS alumni community.

The postcards, filled with cheerful messages, funny memories, and heartfelt advice, are mailed to recent graduates as they settle into their first year of university. Whether it’s a reminder to take study breaks, explore new opportunities, or simply stay true to themselves, each note carries a little piece of Taipei and a lot of Tiger pride.

Organized by the TAS Alumni Office, the Tigergram Project is a lighthearted yet meaningful tradition that bridges generations of TAS students. It helps current students learn about the school’s global alumni network while offering a simple, thoughtful way to show care and connection across continents.

“This project is about showing our newest alumni that they are part of something bigger,” said Elaine Liu, Alumni Relations Officer. “We want every student to know that their relationship with TAS doesn’t end at graduation; it evolves.”

The Tigergram Project reflects TAS’s mission to cultivate personal well-being and service and celebrates the school’s shared values of kindness and respect. What begins as a handwritten note becomes a heartfelt message of community and care, reminding every graduate that no matter where life takes them, they’ll always have a home at TAS.
