The Parent-School Partnership
Building a Strong Community with Parent Partners
Taipei American School depends on our active parents to help to make this the vibrant learning community that we know and love.
Two of the biggest parent organizations in our community are the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and the TAS Cultural Connection group (TASCC).
Each year, our parent community supports the school in ways big and small, with opportunities for all to get involved. Find out more about these two important groups below. We hope you consider joining one of these wonderful organizations!
Our highly involved PTA volunteers support the school in large and small ways, from hosting engaging schoolwide activities that enrich the lives of all students, faculty, and staff, to educational opportunities and more.
Parent volunteer groups support our school through the generosity of their time and resources, and help strengthen student programs, build community, and provide additional support through fundraising. We hope that all parents join us in our work to strengthen the parent-school connection!
There are many opportunities, small and large, for you to make a positive impact at TAS. If you are a TAS parent looking for ways to get involved, you are in the right place!
The TASCC is a parent-led group that works to create the space and opportunity for parents to engage with issues surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
Its representatives work alongside the school’s official DEJI committee and Director of Inclusion and Wellbeing to help the school make continuous improvement in these key areas.
We encourage all parents and guardians to get involved with the TASCC and the larger DEIJ initiatives. When the school-family partnership is strong, amazing things can happen in the lives of our students. If you are passionate about DEIJ work, we hope you reach out to the TASCC Chair soon for more information on upcoming events!
