Will participants receive a certificate of attendance?

Yes, please request your certificate upon registration. 

What is included in the registration fee?

In addition to access to all sessions and presentations, all meals including beverages are covered. 

What food options will be available?

Taipei American School promotes wellness and all meals are prepared on campus. A variety of Taiwanese and Western dishes will be provided during the conference.

TAS is a nut-free school. We aim to provide vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, but we may not be able to guarantee so for every meal. Please reach out to the planning committee if you require dietary accommodations.

Will there be accessibility accommodations for participants who need it?

Yes, we are a wheelchair-friendly campus, but if you have specific requests, we ask that you please notify the planning committee. 

Is there a dress code?

Taiwan is an accommodating country, and although there are no religion-based clothing requirements, faculty at Taipei American School dress business casual. 

Will there be social opportunities outside of the conference?

Yes, there will be a social event at the end of the day on Friday. If you're interested in attending other cultural events, please reach out to the planning committee. 

What should I bring each day to the conference?

You are encouraged to bring a water bottle and your own digital device such as laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Taipei American School will provide WiFi and power outlets to charge devices.

Will there be a coat and bag check?

At the moment we do not have a coat and bag check area, but please reach out to the planning committee for further inquiries.

Will there be somewhere to leave luggage on the last day?

Yes. Please consult any of the planning committee members for more information.

Who should attend?

All school librarians who work or are interested in working in the region. We also welcome professionals who have retired but continue to seek professional development. 

Literacy and digital coaches or coordinators, in addition to school library assistants will also benefit from this professional weekend.
