The TAS Gala
About the Event
The Taipei American School Gala is a major fundraising event that supports important initiatives and programs enhancing the TAS experience for all students. It brings together families in our school community, employees, alumni and other supporters and friends of the school for an elegant evening of celebration, entertainment, and connection. More than just a formal occasion, the Gala Ball is a chance to reflect on shared achievements and contribute to the school’s future. The next TAS Gala Ball will be held in spring 2027, promising a memorable night with lasting impact.
75th Anniversary Gala Recap
On May 2, 2025, Taipei American School welcomed more than 300 parents, alumni, faculty, and sponsors to the Mandarin Oriental Taipei for its 75th Anniversary Gala – Celebrating Brilliance!
Departing from the traditional auction format, the evening focused on honoring the school’s rich past, vibrant present, and ambitious future, with student performances woven throughout. A champagne reception invited guests to capture memories at a photocall, explore history walls marking seven-and-a-half decades of milestones, and admire a striking blue-and-gold tiger sculpture designed by TAS students.
The formal program featured a student dance performance, a commemorative film, and remarks from Head of School David Frankenberg, who announced plans to reimagine key campus spaces. Board Chair Dr. Grace Lee led a celebratory toast, followed by a student music-filled dinner program, live band, and dancing—closing the night with a shared sense of pride and anticipation for the years ahead.
