How Middle School Students Brought Kindness to Life This Week

How Middle School Students Brought Kindness to Life This Week

Dear Parents,

This week, our Middle School community came together to celebrate World Kindness Day through a series of activities designed to inspire connection, gratitude, and everyday compassion. It was a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on what kindness looks like in action and to practice it in ways that made a real impact on our school.

On Thursday, our campus was filled with bright colors as students and staff wore vibrant shirts in honor of World Kindness Day—a cheerful reminder of the positivity we strive to spread every day.

Our Grade 6 students focused on appreciation, writing heartfelt notes to our incredible support staff to honor the many people who help our school run smoothly.

Grade 7 brought kindness outdoors with a “chalk-the-walk” activity, filling our pathways with uplifting messages and colorful reminders to care for one another. Their artwork brought smiles to students, staff, and visitors alike.

In Grade 8, students created “missions of kindness”—shared goals within each homeroom that they will continue working toward over the next several weeks. These missions encourage students to think intentionally about how they can support and uplift their community.

Students from all grade levels also contributed to our schoolwide Let Kindness Lead bulletin board project. More than 1,000 student-written “appreciations of kindness” will be displayed on the PTA Bulletin Board in the MPR hallway beginning Monday, November 17. This beautiful collection will remain for two weeks as a snapshot of empathy and kindness flourishing in our school.

Thank you for supporting and encouraging these moments of connection. We are proud of the compassion our students demonstrated throughout the week and look forward to seeing these acts of kindness continue to grow.
