Taipei American School Counselors & Psychologists: TAS has 14 full-time employees dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our students. Additionally, we have three divisional health offices and KA-12 athletic trainers available to provide support for our community's physical wellbeing. The Community Services Center: The Community Services Center is a non-profit organization that provides a support network of counseling, activities, events, cross-cultural education, and information services to meet the needs of the whole international community in Taipei and throughout Taiwan.
Each TAS student has a total six sessions, free of cost, with the Community Center for the time that they are at TAS. For example, if a student uses these six sessions during their junior year, and they wanted to go to the Community Center for services their senior year, then the family would need to pay for the services after the six sessions.
TAS has a number of resources available for our community's wellbeing and physical health.
Health Office: TAS has three divisional nurses offices with 5 nurses available for students and 1 occupational health nurse available for KA-12 employees. For more information about our school's health services, please click here.
Tiger Health and Wellness Center: Students and faculty are also encouraged to use our state-of-the-art Tiger Health and Wellness Center facility, which is available before, during, and after school hours. This facility is staffed by knowledgeable wellness experts including athletic trainers, coaches, and support staff. Full hours are available to community members through the digital calendar available within the TAS Portal.
